The Making of Decorated Christmas Cookies

Roll and cut cookie dough.

Arranged cookie cutouts on baking sheet, bake and the cooled on rack.

Egg whites beaten slightly until foamy.

Icing or confectionery sugar added to the egg whites.

Lots of sugar needed until the royal icing become very thick and formed hard peak.

Cookies need to be completely cooled before decorated. The outline and flooding technique is a good choice to produce neat decoration.

After flooding the cookies, the icing needed to be dried completely before continue with other decorations like in the picture. In humid weather, the trick is to oven-dried or use heat lamp.
